1) Empress Way, T. McCarthy – This 5yo mare makes her stakes debut here in The Dahlia, and it will be her 26th lifetime start, which is what bothers me the most.  Even though she was impressive last out, I think she may bounce and be retired to the shed.

2) Fussy Eater, J. Betancourt – This $164.000 private purchase has rarely seen the tails of her opponents as she likes to get out on the lead and not look back.  Do to the lack of speed from the four other contenders, this fill should get away and dominated up front.

3) Femme Galante, E. Camacho – This $18.000 2yo has shown decent past performances in much tougher fields, but she will have to be much closer to the lead and outback Fussy Eater to be able to gain her third career victory.

4) French Hottie, J. Pimentel – This 4yo filly is very sneaky here.  She has the most experience under her girth and it may be enough to outrun this small group of fillies.  And on top of it, she has one of the best in the game, DJC, as her trainer.
