1 Senorita Cielo, trained by Nakamura Stables

A good debut second was followed by an impressive maiden win at MTH when she went under the 1.10 with an easy three length stroll. After that performance it was a natural step into stakes racing but she came up a little short in the Anoakia Stakes. Starting in midfield she never really got into the race but did pass a few late after a tricky trip. I am willing to forgive that run and with a decent start today she may cause the principles some problems.

2 love Devine, trained by Wolfs Den

A close second and two early wins stamped this daughter of TS Indy fairly useful but since being claimed from Mm Racing she has been a bit in and out. The one time she managed to reach the frame in four attempts since was when she finished fast to be third in the OT Juvenile fillies turf but that run was over a turf mile which is a fair way from todays trip and surface. She is not without a chance but nothing in her form really suggests this is any more than a hopeful entry.

3 Stump The Skeleton, trained by Chili King Stables

A winner on debut she has struggled a little since to follow that up. Probably her best run was in the Bolton Landing Stakes where she finished fast for a close second but that run was over a sprint trip on the turf so its hard to weigh up. The one things which does set her apart is a sub 1.11 work for the six furlongs on this surface and if she can make the normal improvement of works to race she must have a fair chance of getting into the finish of this race.

4 Florida Vacation, trained by Red Barn Stables

Of all the runners this one has the most direct link to this sort of race in her form. A couple of easy wins saw her take on the FL Sire Stakes Susan last time out where the race engine threw her into the lead from her wide gate and she got run down late. That was a sound effort in the circumstances and if she ca be ridden with a little more restraint this time she may well be the answer in a close race.

5 Track Queen, trained by Midnight Racing

An interesting entry from a trainer with only four races under their belt and just the one winner. Bought for eighty dollars she ran a great debut second and then stormed home in a MTH maiden winning easily. A sub 1.11 work since then confirms that she is rapidly improving so if there is a dark horse in the field she could well be it. I hope the wide gate doesn’t mean she is thrown into the lead only to weaken late but if she gets a decent ride she could well be the biggest danger.

SUMMARY

Loathed as I am to tip wide gates I think that the two widest today will produce the winner. Track Queen looks an improving sort and Florida Vacation has the right credentials already so the choice is btween them. For me its Florida Vacation to narrowly beat Track queen.
