$100.000 Ungraded Stake
Three Year Olds And Upward Foaled in LA
1 1/16 Mile on Turf at FG
Five Daddy Darling (Night Rider Stables) should be the favorite in this field of four. He is graded stakes placed and just scored a career high 102 SRF, finishing second in the Grade 2 Seabiscuit. The only question is can he get it done with a little less than two weeks off. His chief competition will most likely come from Jolly Charley (Asgar) who won the 1 1/16 mile LA Cup Turf Classic against LA-breds in August.
Asgar’s other entry, Burn Charley Burn, has been trying stakes company but without success. In fact, just two starts back, he was sprinting in a $5.000 claimer. Winless in five starts this year.
Someone’s Avatar (On The Map Racing) won a $20.000 claimer two starts back, coming from dead last to win by a neck. He was claimed out of that race and entered in the LA Cup Turf Classic in August where he finished third a length behind Jolly Charley. Gets another shot here.
