Seven horses loaded into the gate on this nice day at WO, with the track conditions listed as fast. As the gates opened all the horses came out nicely and 1 furlong into the race there was a 3 way battle for the lead with Grand Taureau in first, with Forsaken even with him and Honey Badger sitting a ½ length behind in 3rd. 2 furlongs into the race Forsaken pushed past Grad Taureau and dropped down to the rail with Honey Badger still in third, with the first ¼ mile run in 22 and 3. 4 furlongs into the race Forsaken was still the leader having run that distance in 45 and 1. Sitting 1 ½ lengths behind him was Grand Taureau but Vesuzard and Traffic Court had both made a small move and passed Honey Badger into 3rd and 4th and were hoping to close hard into this long time leader in the final ¼ of a mile. With Just over 1 furlong out the running order stayed the same up top but the danger horse looked to be Saint Emilion who seemed to hit his best stride, but would there be enough room for him to get there? Ultimately in the end the wire would get there in time for the long time leader Forsaken, the closing efforts Vesuzard and Saint Emilion would come up just short and they would finish 2nd and 3rd respectively.
