A lightly raced four year old with just the one win she finds herself in a small field without much depth so must be considered a chance. Claimed from a sprint last year she has been upped in trip under the new trainer and has done well enough without setting the world on fire in overnight company. She is no Zenyatta but she is fairly consistent and honest so deserves the shot.

The most accomplished in the field by a fair way she gets a 2Lb penalty here which certainly brings here back to the pack a little. Most of her best form has been over shorter trips, in fact the race she got the penalty for was a sprint stakes race but she has won over a longer trip and she is much better than these up to six furlongs so her class may just prevail over her lack of stamina.

The only three year old and the very fact that she gets upwards of three pounds off everything here makes her a winning chance regardless of form. Now add on the fact that her form is actually as good if not better over this trip than everything else and she begins to look like the only one that can win. Beaten a nose in the ONT Damsel stakes and then a length in the Ashbridges Bay Stakes last time out she may well sneak away from this field with her front running style.
4 Adrift At Sea Threshold Crawford J
One of those fillies that does well in these smaller fields she has won her last two in much lower grade but has proved before that she can switch it up in stakes as long as the opposition isn’t too hot. Second in the grade two Yellow Ribbon Handicap on the turf she goes just as well on the dirt and seems happy around this trip. Even with four runners though the outside can be a disadvantage but if she gets some race engine luck then she could well win.
SUMMARY
It all points to the three year old here but if Julliard can cope with the weight and Adrift At Sea the draw then those two could push her all the way to the line.
