The Green Card hands out the exacta as Fractious continues their hot streak with Retaliate proving best in today’s San Carlos Stakes (GIII) by a neck.  The bay gelding stalked the pace in this seven-furlong sprint and just wore them down late to go under the wire first, stopping the clock at 1:21.23 over the Fast SA oval.  Public Information pressed the pace, took a short lead in the lane, but just didn’t have an answer for the eventual winner, taking the second spot by a neck over the fast-closing Tiz Trippi in third, then another half-length to the speedy Plan To Wheel in fourth, stable-mate of the winner.  Only five lengths covered the field of twelve.
