From Claimer to Grade 3 Winner…….That’s A Chrystal Brooklyn

Owner Aer Stable has been as hot as anyone in stakes races recently winning the KYD and he continued his winning ways turning a former claimer A Chrystal Brooklyn into a Grade 3 winner. A Chrystal Brooklyn was a runaway winner in the American Stakes running off and winning by a very comfortable three lengths. A Chrystal Brooklyn sat a stalking trip in this race and was 1 length back with two furlongs to go, and then the six year old started his best running and ran away from the field. A Chrystal Brooklyn made the rest of the field look as if they were running in reverse. Antelope Storm was the early pace setter in this race and ended up fading to fourth in the race, however between second and sixth place there was only .14 seconds that separated each place. The class hose of the field, KT, had to have disappointed owner Downwind Stables with his last place finish. Also my pick for the race Spanish Twirl finished a disappointing 5th for owner Nakamura Stables. Steel Kelp did run well for his owner PJR Farms and continued his string of first and second place finishes. Nakamura Stables did hit the board with his second runner power ball finishing third. Here is how the race played out.
