Gate Should Be Full for Friday Fun in The Smarty Jones

Friday is opening day here at OP and we get right into the TC Trail as the gate should be full for The Smarty Jones, a flat mile main track stakes for the sophomore hopefuls.  I’ve landed on Zero Darkness as my top choice here today.  He’s really never run a bad race including that last out third at WO in the Grey Stakes where he closed well on a strip labeled good.  Another like that should make him tough.  Another that has been very consistent is Viral Breakdown, and this barn knows how to get them ready for the TC Trail.  She has three wins and took the Letellier Memorial Stakes last out at FG, and she could be the one to get past.  I always put Mb Stables in these races… well, any races, because you aren’t the most successful trainer by being unsuccessful… give Elixir a serious glance as well.

It should be a great one to watch so grab an icy cold wobble pop and let’s get a good spot down by the rail.
