Tonight at CT the weather was perfect as the horses entered the starting gate. All of the 4 horses who had signed on to run in this race were still there as the gates opened. The betting public was firmly behind one horse making Jazzmin the 3/5 betting favorite. As the gates swung open all got out well but Deadly Leviathon stormed out to the lead pulling away a length and ¾ over Ghastly after the first 2 furlongs. You Aint Gon Like and Jazzmin were 3^rd and 4^th respectively but 4+ lengths off this lead. Four furlongs into the race the running order did not change much the only movement was Jazzmin just putting her head in front for 3^rd. There were 3 furlongs to go and Jazzmin looked like she was moving the best. With 1 furlong to go Deadly Leviathon had thrown in the towel and had faded back to 3^rd Ghastly had made her move and was leading the pack, but Jazzmin was hot on her tail just 1 length behind. It was going to be a mad dash to the wire but it looked like the race was going to be between Ghastly and Jazzmin. It was a great race to the wire but in the end Ghastly held off the furious closing charge of Jazmin who lost by .02 seconds. You Aint Gon Like kicked past Deadly Leviation and finished 3^rd.
