At least we had the winner in this one… as the co-favorite, seems everyone else did, too.  Royalty Stables brings home most of the money as Golic wins the CA Cup Derby by a length, stopping the timer at 1:41.72 for the mile and a sixteenth, over the main SA oval, labeled Fast.  Riggins Racing’s Magical Embrace was a clear second, two lengths in front of the winner’s stable-mate, Woodcock, in third.  It was another quarter length to Bronze Hamilton, that one from the Mb Stables, in fourth.  Eight lengths covered the field of eight
