1st Gunpowder Choice, trained by Night Rider Stables

A first graded stakes win here for this gelding as he showed some of his true talent. He showed how good he is after a bad effort in his last start to win by half a length. The final time was 1:47.89 and he earned $90.000 for the win.

2nd Dauzac, trained by TwinTowers Racing

A strong runner up in here for this horse as he ran a lot better than he has been in his last few. He ran very well in here with an off the pace closing style to only get beat by half a length. A good runner up finish.

3rd Charlemagnes Command, trained by Serenity Stables

Finally getting an in the money run from this horse had to be somewhat satisfying for his trainer because he just has not been showing his best. He closed well late to only get beat a length by the winner.

4th Rainstorm, trained by Fractious

My top selection right here did not run terrible but he just does not seem to get there in time with his late running style. He ended up only getting beat a length but I think there is still more left in the tank from him.

Summary

Satisfying win for me as I bred the winner here but I bet it was even better for Night Rider Stables as I’m sure he believes this horse is capable of even better things later this year. Congratulations to Gunpowder Choice and Night Rider Stables.
