With each generation these horses seem to get more and more alike to the point nowhere anything can win on any given day. With yet another dead heat filling the minor placings there wasn’t much between them at the finish but this gelding which had been flying at the end of his races over shorter trips lapped up this mile and took the win. The son of Ginger Haggis has a magnificent turn of foot which if this race engine lasts into next year will be tested many times. Today all fell nicely into place though and he got a highly deserved win after three good efforts without a win in black type company leading up to this.

2nd Heel Turn Bigchief Stables Smith M E

Stalked the lead and looked to be going like a winner until he was caught by the late closer. His draw was always going to make his running style tough to stick to, but he did very well and looks to be developing nicely.

3rd= Ranger Jim Williams9 Fresu A

The trainer certainly knows their two-year-olds and looks to have made a good purchase in this one which stuck on gamely to share third.

Two wide draws, two late finishes, the trainer will be very happy that things worked out for his two entries here as this one ran into a share of third.
