Any number of horses had a chance in Friday’s Clark (GII) at CD, but in the end, Night Rider Stables’ Hangry Commander could not be contained, closing down the far outside to get up in the shadow of the wire to win this one by a quarter length. The final time was 1:47.71 for the mile and an eighth stakes, and the main track was listed as Fast. More Twist tried to bring home the win but could not hold off the eventual winner, taking the second spot by a half length over a photo for the rest of the purse. Charming Man was a nose better than Wahpekute Sioux for those minor placings, with only four lengths covering the field.
