I told ya I didn’t like my picks in this one, but The Card laid down the exacta as cold as the other side of the pillow… Track records at FON continue to fall as Night Rider Stables‘ Heart Of Genghis covers the mile and a sixteenth in 1.41.14 and wins the FON Stakes by two lengths. Purchased in Feb for just $20.000, the 6yo gray gelding scores his first win for the new silks, being sent off as the 4/1 third choice. That’s his ninth lifetime win, and the consistent rascal has hit the board in twenty-three of twenty-six starts. Congrats to the Connections!
Nakamura Stables’ Handle The Storm was forwardly placed throughout but couldn’t find the mustard to go with the winner, taking the second spot by a quarter length, then a photo for the minor placings as Langley Farms Mookie nosed out Pablo Racing Inc’s Skeptic, third and fourth. The track was listed as Fast and six lengths covered the field of eight.
