$175.000 3yo&Up F&M 1 1/4m Turf 3yo 119 lbs Older 123 lbs +penalties
This weekend was about as big as it gets here in Toronto, and it took a photograph to separate Here Z Comes and Classic Princess, but the First Street Stables 4yo filly got up in the final jump as Here Z Comes took the Dance Smartly Stakes (GII) by a nose. Classic Princess settled for the place with Maggie Greene a neck back in third. Pink Kitten took the minor money as the winner got the mile and a quarter in 1:58.93 on the firm WO turf.
Here Z Comes is a 4yo bay filly by Z Jinxed One – Here Comes Trouble, by Levi Strauss, and she was bred in ON by her owner, First Street Stables. This was her seventh win from eighteen starts, two of those coming this season, and she now shows lifetime earnings of $455.870. Congratulations to the connections!

Here Z Comes rated off of the pace, moved forward thru the far turn, closed well in the lane, engaged leader inside the final sixteenth and was up on the wire. Classic Princess tracked the pace, took over into the lane, nailed in the final strides in a game effort. Maggie Greene chased the pace to the turn, took over on the backside, continued to lead through the turn and into the lane, headed, evenly. Pink Kitten trailed to the turn, passed tiring rivals in the lane. Sweetness pressed the pace to the top of the lane, tired. High Ended broke sharp, flashed early speed, tired. Dawning Ice Age was never involved.
