As expected the lesser weight for age allowance worked out well for this four year old who finally found his way to the winners circle in his 7th start for the owner. Settling into last early on but never far off the leaders the tactics worked perfectly as he cruised home with just a little more in hand than the final margin of three parts of a length suggested.
This could be just the confidence boost he needs and if the draw monster can get off of his case he may well follow this up with bigger and better things.

2nd     Spoonz       Gdp Inc          Fuentes Ru

The one win three year old did pretty well considering he would’ve been getting a bigger weight for age allowance in other races. He couldn’t match the winners finish but kept going right to the line. I am sure he will be a force in these state bred races for a while yet.

3rd     Sparky Laga       Night Rider Stables      Cedillo A

Made the running at a fairly strong pace for a four runner field and that may have been in part to Herbalise pushing him early on. As it was the pace told in the end and he weakened out pretty badly at the end.

4th       Herbalise           Rousee        Smith M E

Played his part in the shape of this race by contesting the pace throughout and like the third horse was left breathless at the end.
