John Henry stifled Smokey Stover’s attempt to get Too Scared To Party etched in as a repeat winner in RGD. He did so by getting High Ended into a nice stalk level position around the long turf track, allowing her to close nicely from 4 lengths off the lead coming home for the score.
1st Place – High Ended (John Henry)
John Henry got his horse into nice position around the track, saving ground, allowing for a nice drive home- claiming the $90.00 winning check and getting High Ended back in the winners circle. Congratulations to John Henry in his effort and patience with this talented Mare.
2nd Place – Too Scared To Party (Smokey Stover)
Smokey was unable to get this mare back as winner of the RGD just a year after MartyParty had her there. Perhaps being 8 lengths off was just too much to overcome. Still, she made a hearty move home to finish a game second, but ran out of real-estate, surrendering the win to High Ended.
3rd – Maggie Greene (The Sidley Stud)
This 6 year old Mare was right behind High Ended most of the way but failed to display the closing power needed to get beyond 3rd. This mare has had an illustrious career and has some left in the tank, we’ll expect her back soon with another big effort.
4th Place – Built For Speed (First Flight Stable)
Way back with from the start, 8 lengths off with Too Scared Too Party, this 7 year old mare had to grind hard to gain ground and score a payday.
Congratulations to the winner and a fine effort by all this in the race!
