1st High Time Maxmillion Farm Velazquez J R

I am not sure this one was particularly suited by the track conditions, but he was a winner on an off track, so they certainly didn’t inconvenience him. He was good last year, but as a four-year-old looked to be just waiting for his improvement curve to kick in and that certainly seems to have happened now he has turned five. Settling just behind the speed which was strong in the conditions he always looked to be going like the winner and when asked to extend, strode effortlessly away. With three wins from his last four, he looks to have a good season in front of him.

2nd Everest Lanfranco Stable Espinoza V

If there was one in the field that hated the ground it was probably this one, so I think this effort was a lot better than it looked. Up on the pace he managed to keep on for second, albeit somewhat distant and considering that early pace was strong he did pretty well to hold that place. Just a one race winner, I am pretty sure there are more wins on the horizon for him.

3rd Top Of The Crop Maxmillion Farm Bridgmohan S X

Forced that fast early pace and paid the price down the stretch. This run was similar to his last effort on a rain effected track, so this sort of effort was in the cards.

4th Rantanen Royalty Stables Moore R L

Pretty disappointing, at the end of the race he floundered late and just couldn’t go with the first three.
