Well, I take it all back, the weather stayed dry and still this filly came out on top in what was a four-way photo finish where only one of the five runners didn’t have a chance entering the final half furlong. She dug deep today like the good filly she is and came out a whisker better off in the drive to the line. A grade one winner, this was a good effort and if it rains in the BC and she gets a spot who is to say she won’t step up.

2nd American Sky Riggins Racing Rodriguez A R

The old late closing style once again flattered to deceive as the AI left the challenge just too late and she came up a whisker short. This was a fine effort and pretty much as good as a win, but every day is a different day here at HRP and today she had to settle for second.

3rd Barossa Valley Mo Mentum Farm Smith M E

Third best in the photo she finished well and probably gave her best race in this. She has time on her side, and I am sure will be winning another one before long.

4th Whoop Whoop The Sidley Stud Bocachica Ar

Stalked a strong pace and that is always a tough position in small fields and in the end, she didn’t have enough left in the drive to the line. Another day and she wins, today she was fourth, such is top level racing at HRP.
