1st     Hollywood Eclipse       Nakamura Stables         Murphy Ci

I said in the preview for this race that the two Nakamura runners were working grade one winning times and running a long way below that so i was expecting something a little better from them than their form suggests. With the new front running engine this one found the front and never looked like being beaten running a sub 1.34 time and winning like his works were indeed that of a BC runner. This horse was a well beaten fifth at FP two races back so this is a definite step up on form at least for reasons we will probably never know. Congratulations to the trainer on a stylish and overdue win with this one.

2nd       Salar de Uyuni         Mb Stables           Bejarano R

Stalked the lead and just never made any ground on the winner. If he hadn’t won over nine furlongs i would say he didn’t stay the trip that well but i think at the end of the day he is just one of those that has to have things go his way.

3rd     Brilliant Kruz           Nakamura Stables         Pereira T J

Well these three started first second and third and ended first second and third something we are seeing more and more of these days at HRP. This wasn’t a bad effort for a horse that looks to be more of a turf runner.

4th     When Your Strange        Maxmillion Farm     Franco M

Went back which is the wrong place to be these days and didn’t really make up much in the end just running past the last two to take fourth. A pretty average run but at least he ran past a horse which is more than can be said for the first three.
