With just a maiden win as a two-year-old and an allowance win in the slop this filly was left alone by the punters against her more accomplished rivals and that was a big mistake as she did what many haven’t been able to do on this new engine. Stalking a fast half mile pace has been a bit of a dead zone for many but she timed her challenge perfectly and battled well to score a quarter length win. Bought at auction for just $15.000 she has been a great claim for the stable and now has a grade two on her record.

2nd Raw And Real Mb Stables Velazquez J R

The wide gate speed push saw her make the lead, but she went pretty hard for the first half mile and paid the price inside the last furlong where she weakened like a shot duck. I thought around the halfway mark that she had set up a winning break and many times on this new engine that has been the case but that early pace told in the end, and she got run down.

3rd Bee Cyclone Maxmillion Farm Carmouche K

Settling back from the gate we saw that new blunted closing speed that has become apparent on the new race engine as she just couldn’t get going fast enough to chase down the first two. She wasn’t far back at the end, and this was a pretty good effort in her first graded stakes race and one that will see her back in this grade before long.

4th Be Exceptional TwinTowersRacing Castellano J J

We have come to know that the surface can mean a lot less than it does in real life at HRP and this filly who had been similarly placed on the dirt ran a fair race again to be fourth. There is ability there for sure and one day she will pick up a good race, but it will probably be in dirt sprint or something similar!
