It was a great day at BEL on this first Saturday of the meet and we kick off the turf stakes with Honorable Eight taking this field wire to wire. Coming out of a claimer for $7.000 nobody really thought this horse had a chance. Everyone except Boulevard that is who really might have just spent the est $7.000 of his life. Two Smoking Barrels showed up as usual but missed the bob at the finish line. This one ran a 100 SRF for the 3rd time in the last 6 starts. Adding more to the excitement Christmas Spirit as a game 3rd only losing by a neck. Seriously an unlucky race for him as he put in a solid run and could have easily won. THe other two entries rounded out the field in a dead heat for fourth to end the festivity.
