Indiscretion Looks Like a Standout in LCD Sprint

LCD Sprint
$125.000 Three Year Olds And Upward Foaled in LA
6 Furlongs – Dirt
Fairgrounds – December 13, 2025

Saturday is a big day for Louisiana Breds and their breeders with several LA Bred stakes races on offer including the fourteenth running of the LCD Sprint. The outlook for the day calls for a fast track and the race has drawn a field of seven including an entry from the leading 2025 LA breeder Asgar looking to add to their season leading totals.

1. White Walker (Mojica Racing/A.Concepcion) Making his first stakes start since January of 2023 but is coming off of a win against LA breds in an optional claiming race where he racked up his career tying best SRF speed figure. He was able to go wire to wire in that race which was the first time in twenty-seven starts that he made the lead that early. It is possible he is getting better, or his trainer has found a preferred running strategy. If so, the rail will help if he wants to duplicate that.

2. Pour Me A Drink (The Sidley Stud/M. Pedroza Jr.) He was claimed for $4.000 in September and has made one start for his new connections where he finished fourth on a muddy track in a Finger Lakes starter allowance going a mile and 70 yards. The Sidley Stud shows no signs of discouragement and brings him back in a stakes race. Fast works and the cutback to a sprint may be the motivation for his backers.

3. Indiscretion (John Henry/J.L. Ortiz) Five-year-old has earned $600.000 in a career spent mostly in graded events the last two years. He is a multiple stakes winner who boasts a G2 win on his resume. He has won three out of five of his LA bred stakes appearances and finished third in this very race as a three-year-old. Takes a drop in class and is clearly the one to beat.

4. Magistrate (Winplace/I. Castillo) Might be seven years old but seems to be running like a young colt since his trainer added Lasix back in April. He won the LA Cup Sprint in August including the very good Sincere Connection who is drawn right to his outside. His works are fast, and he can challenge for this on his best day. Before you put your money on him take notice that he is the only one in the field carrying extra weight as his reward for that April stakes win.

5. Sincere Connection (Asgar/B. Curtis) Leading 2025 LA breeder Asgar has designs on winning this with this gelding who is lightly raced this season. He has made five starts exclusively in stakes company and although he has not been in the winner’s circle in 2025, he has hit the board four times. The one time he didn’t finish in the top three he finished fourth losing by a neck in total. Will likely be a pace factor. He set the pace in his last and gave way late, but he has one less furlong here.

6. Roaring Snake Party (London Racing/J. Loveberry) One of two three-year-olds taking on elders in this race. Both are drawn to the two outside gates. He has shown himself to be competitive with seven top three finishes in ten starts but he is taking a big class jump today. His trainer is giving him a very big test. He was closing in his last race barely losing to White Walker who is on the rail. He gets an additional furlong in this race to close. If the pace is hot, he might be a longshot to back.

7. Total Stud (First Flight Stable/D.L. Parker) The other three-year-old in the field. He is more accomplished than his crop mate but not recently. He has some back class to draw on and was stakes placed in an LA Bred stakes earlier in the year. He has not sprinted on dirt since his debut which was a sharp effort. If this is really his niche it could signal a return to form.

Indiscretion is the easy pick here and I like easy. Sincere Connection is the other proven consistent class in the field and appears to be his main threat. In the battle for the third spot, I think Roaring Snake Party is an interesting longshot option.
