July 24, 2022
Inquisition won her first graded stakes for Arindel on Sunday on yielding turf after stalking the pace throughout.
Red Flags broke sharply and jumped out to an early length and a half lead over Rebel Girl with Inquisition just to her inside and Charlotte de Shark right behind them. Stellar Agent and Hollywood Tours rounded out the field.
Midway on the backstretch, Inquisition still gave Red Flags 1 1/2 lengths with Rebel Girl still sticking close on the outside. Charlotte de Shark lost ground with Stellar Agent and Hollywood Tours still bringing up the rear.
Into the turn, Inquisition cut the lead to a length with Rebel Girl in third Charlotte de Shark holding on to fourth ahead of Hollywood Tours and Stellar Agent.
At the head of the stretch, Inquisition took the lead and never looked back. Stellar Agent started her run and managed to get past a tiring Rebel Girl for fourth just behind Charlotte de Shark
Down the stretch it was all Inquisition. The real battle was for second with Red Flags trying to hold on and Stellar Agent pressing her. Stellar Agent passed her in the shadow of the wire. Red Flags held on for third.
Inquisition is the daughter of Great Broomstick out of the Pan For Gold mare, Spanish Quarter. Bred by Mo Mentum Farm, the four-year-old filly was claimed for $23.500 as a two-year-old. This win brings Inquisition’s career earnings to $560.190. Congratulations to Inquisition and owner Arindel.
