As the rains continued at PIM there was an air of confidence from the trainer about this ones chances. Getting a great stalk from the wide draw he always looked to be going well and pulled out a determined stretch run to win handily. This is a much better horse in the wet but we must not forget he won a grade one on a fast track so he is not just a mudlark.

2nd   Lost Forever              Hambletonian Stable  Colon L H
Rana  huge race from the car park draw taking the wide gate speed push and working with it all the way to the line. He looked beat a few times but battled all the way in a career best performance. Beaten in a starter allowance last time i think we can safely say the race conditions suited him today.

3rd   Devil Water               Pan Farms  Gallardo A A
It was all about the wide draws in this race and this four year old mud lover went with Lost Forever all the way eventually ending up a close third in a great run.

4th   Saturday Khartoum    Rousee  Velazquez J R
He was right on Insect’s heels but didnt quicken as well in the slop and had to settle for fourth beaten less than a length.
