With the two inside draws the stable with well represented here with two similar types. Riding the rail, she was happy to run with the speed and the key to winning this race was the break she built up round the home turn as the swoopers all fanned out wide round. As can happen the closers left their runs too late and the bird had flown and she held on readily in the end by just under a length, lightly raced she ran a tactically perfect race today and gained just her second win from five starts. I am not 100% sure she is a KYO type, but she did it well today and has tactical speed which could be so important in the big field that is likely for the KYO.

Ran mid pack and ran on well but the leader had flown by the time she got clear enough to mount a challenge. This was a fair effort though and she will get another shot at the KYO qualification in future, I am sure.

8 Love Beer High Voltage Centeno D E

Went up on the speed from her wide gate but had to give way as the winner held the rail, she slipped into the stalk and kept on well enough to just hold third.

10 Miss Beer Greyfriars Stable Martinez G A

Another wide draw that tried for the lead but was never able to cross so she too went back into the stalk. She just did enough to hold on for fourth but for the third race in a row found it too tough on the speed and the trainer may have to take a long hard look at her future trip and tactics.
