Iron Punch took the lead from the off drawing three lengths clear of the field then closed down in the final furlong holding on to win by a length from the running on Broomsticks Copy with Wisconsin Laff two lengths further back in third.

How they ran.

Iron Punch broke away in front of the field drawing three lengths clear then closed down in the final furlong holding on to win by a length.

Broomsticks Copy settled in third four lengths off the pace then ran on strongly getting to within a length of the winner at the wire to finish second.

Wisconsin Laff settled and raced in fourth seven lengths off the pace then ran on to finish third three lengths behind the winner.

Plucky Amalie settled at the rear eight lengths off the pace than ran on in the home stretch getting to within just over three lengths off the winner to finish fourth.

Red Belle started in second racing there till the home stretch then just went backwards to finish last of the five runners.
