Race #3 13:00 The Bay Shore – Grade III (P2)
7 Furlongs Dirt Stake Purse $300.000 Open 3 Year Olds.
1st Fly Millenium, trained by Blushing meadows
Well this trainer is always saying that he doesnt get the credit he deserves and i must
admit i didnt give this horse much of a chance before the off but he proved that he is
a very exciting sprinting prospect with a stunning victory today. He took some major scalps with
a fair bit of ease coming from a sluggish start to win by a cosy length. Hats of to
Blushing Meadows who had a great weekend at the track and i think we will be seeing this one
in Novembers BC championships.
2nd Spanish Petals, trained by Scarletandgreystable
Got to the front with a furlong to run and ran a cracker to go down fighting in the end. This
was a decent performance in a hot field and i suspect that he along with the winner
will be competing in the top sprints this year.
3rd Air Show, trained by Australia Wide
It looked like his stamina was going to carry him through in this as he closed hard into
the stretch but he came to the end of his run in the end and finished third. Not a bad first
effort for the stable.
4th Final Tune, trained by Mb Stables
Another who was close enough at the furlong pole but who flattened out in the end. Though the
unbeate run came to an end he still looks a good prospect as this was only his fourth start.
5th Hes Juiced Up
Taken to the rear and never really found his way to the leaders.
6th Urban Decline
Kept on at the one pace but never looked dangerous.
7th Capt Louis Renault
The wide gate push catapulted him to the lead but he was never comfortable and faded out down
the stretch.
8th Ferro
Just never got into it.
9th Sweetsmellofsuccess
Again pushed forward by the wide gate speed push but faded badly at the end thanks to an early
speed battle with the horse inside him.
