This year, we would run the Long Branch Stakes in our virtual world for the first time. It’s winner would be a horse that may not have been running on the main track for the first time, but it was something that she had not done for a little while and even her recent works were on the grass. For Juilliard, none of that would matter, as she enjoyed the dirt just fine on a track that she was certainly very familiar with. She is trained by Mo Mentum Farm, who will be the first entry on the winnerboard for this race, and P Husbands will get that distinction on the jockey side. The first winning time for the race is 1:03.38. Let’s take a look!

(1/4 Mile- :22.60)- The field breaks out into three rows of two to start the race. Starting in the front row are Battle Abbey, trained by The Sidley Stud and Sexy Angelina, from Night Rider Stables. In row two, we have our eventual winner, Mo Mentum Farm’s Juilliard and Mycrazyxgirlfriend, from Mb Stables. Qualifying in row three are Creepy Lass (Night Rider Stables) and Silk Of Serena (Chubby Racing).

(Top Of Stretch, 1.5F To Go)- Battle Abbey hugs the rail well in the turn and continues to lead the way into the stretch, but she has not completely shaken off Sexy Angelina. That one is still to her outside, half a length back. Running third is Juilliard, about a length behind Battle Abbey and positioned well to make a move in the stretch. Mycrazyxgirlfriend is still fourth, but lost a valuable length to Juilliard here. Creepy Lass and Silk Of Serena remain at the back.

(Finish- 1:03.38)- Juilliard closes in on the front two early in the stretch, but once she pulled up alongside them, it was impressive how quickly she put those two away, having far more power in her stride getting to the wire and she wins by a length. Almost out of no where, Mycrazyxgirlfriend sneaks away the second spot, coming between Sexy Angelina and Battle Abbey late and prevailing in a photo. Sexy Angelina is third, then Battle Abbey, Creep Lass, and Silk Of Serena.

About The Winner- Juilliard, trained by Mo Mentum Farm and ridden to victory by P Husbands, is a four year old filly by Wanted Man, and is out of Rook Around. She was bred in Ontario by her trainer as a third quarter two year old and they have been together throughout. The win is her fifth in 15 starts, and her second stake win. Her career earnings are now $374.600.
