Kaboom! TwinTowersRacing upsets the Myrtlewood as Double Zee bounces back from a last place finish in the Untapable, scoring by a half-length while stopping the clock in 1:094 for the six furlongs. Line Of Flight made a race of it, taking a short lead in the lane, but could not hold off the eventual winner. Pace makes the race, and the Valley View (GIII) was all about the pace and who had just a bit more… Nakamura Stables’ Sneaky Panther proved to be the one, getting the upper hand in the shadow of the wire and winning this one by a half-length in a final time of 1:33 flat. It was close for all of the minor placings, as well, as Defogged took the runner-up spot, just in front of Chai Mon in third and Copper Jewels was fourth. Six lengths covered the field of eight.

Always sad to see closing day at the KEE Fall Meet, but what a trio of stakes… and the Bowman Mill was decided in the final strides as Mb Stables’ Love Maker got up in the shadow of the wire to take this six panel sprint in 1:09.47 on the fast main oval. King Boo made it interesting but just missed, taking the second spot. It was three-quarters of a length back to Viking Lucifer in third and early pace-setter Southern Oak was fourth in the field of seven, three lengths from first-to-worst.

The Station (GIII) was a story of speed and closing… closing won the race. Alydar Stables’ Details Matter got up in the final jumps of this one-mile Turf stakes, going under the wire clear by three-quarters of a length in a final time of 1:34.34. Gallant set the pace throughout, but was collared late, taking the second spot, with Energizer Party third and Duke of Satire fourth in the field of eight. Three lengths covered the field.

Again, speed is caught late as Arindel’s Ey Mon ran down Berline, that one opening a big lead into the lane, and taking the Fayette (GII) by a quarter length, getting the mile and an eighth in 1:47.31 on the fast KEE main track. Berlin had to settle for the second spot, and it wouldn’t have been the closing KEE race without a dead-heat, as Z Mission and Eight West Party ended up in a tie for the third spot. Seven lengths covered the field of seven.
