Killer Angels Revels in the Wet

KD Ladies Turf – Grade III
1 Mile Turf Stake Purse $500.000 Filly & Mare 3 Year Olds And Up.

1st   Killer Angels  TwinTowersRacing  Velazquez J R

Whilst the rain cut up the field and ruined the race for many Twin Towers Racing would have been laughing all the way to the bank as this filly just loves the wet. Making all in a slow pace she was never challenged and won by a very easy four lengths. This filly is good on a dry track but grows an extra leg in the mud and now has a record of three from three in these conditions. If there is a wet November then watch out for her in the BC.

2nd   Smokin Nebulae  Drabfantasy                Colon L H

If you want an example of how inconsistent HRP can be, or atleast two horses then look at this. Same conditions and a 15 length turnround in form as this one finished second well ahead of her eleven length victor in the Waya. I thought it was the going that beat her in the Waya but clearly it wasnt as she kept on well enough today even though she never worries the winner. Though she has been easily beaten in her last two this filly is better than this on a faster track and i dont think we have seen the last of her.

3rd   Snakie Groupie  Maxmillion Farm              Albarado R J

Ran past a few to be a long way back in third.

4th   Chai Mission  Maxmillion Farm          Gaffalione T

Lost 15 lengths with Smokin Nebulae from her last race in the Waya i guess the only explanation would be the slow pace and the fact that this closer was taken back in the field for a late run.
