Klassy With A K Classy in Spinaway

Only at Saratoga could you call this an undercard race, but that is what it was today. The owners had to be happy today because the weather was perfect at Saratoga and as the horses entered the starting gate there were 2 horses who the public were backing Klassy With A K at 3/2 and Notarized Kate at 2-1. As the gates swung open all appeared to get out well but Primera Fajita from the outside went right to the lead and had pulled away from the field after the first ¼ of a mile. There were 3 horses in tight order roughly 3 lengths behind her with Notarized Kate, Klassy With A K, and Pitch, behind that group was Disney Music and Dogs Money Maka, and it was a long way back to Osaila who trailed the field. The opening ¼ mile was run in 23 and 1. A half mile into the race Primera Fajita was still leading the field and was leading by 3+ lengths over the post time favorite Klassy With AK who had moved into a clear 2^nd. Notarized Kate and Pitch were 2 lengths behind a Kalssy With A K followed by Dogs Money Maka, Disney Music and the trailer was Osaila. The first half was run in 46 and 2 and owner EasyMoney Stables had to be a bit worried if Primera Fajita’s speed would hold. At the ¾ of a mile mark Primera Fajita was getting leg weary and you could see she had used up her speed early in this race. Klassy With A K was still in 2^nd but made a nice move to the outside and was within ¾ of a length of Primera Fajita. Notarized Kate was along the inside and also traveling very well and it looked like it was going to be a 2 horse battle to the line over the final furlong and that is exactly what it was, with Klass With A K just holding off Notarized Kate at the wire. Disney Music picked up the pieces and ran on for a nice 3^rd, while Primera Fajita faded in the stretch and finished 4^th.
