It’s going to be some crazy racing going on at SAR over the next couple of weeks, and although this is a rather short field, only six going to the gate, it is a classy bunch of marathon ladies set to go a mile and three-sixteenths over the Spa lawn in The NY (GI).  When we talk about such races, doesn’t the conversation kind of start and end with Lady Hilltopper?  I know, I know, but she was second last out… going a mile and a sixteenth and she was closing like a freight train… I think she gets it done here, and at a short price.  I’ll put Be Exceptional on the bottom of my exacta… that one fresh off of a win at KEE, taking the Bewitched (GIII) in wire-to-wire fashion.  Now don’t be confused, she doesn’t have to have the lead… and in this short field, she should be able to stay up close, when is her game. 

The Card went with Secret Of A Lady and Poetic Panther under Lady, so maybe a good healthy does over 2/over is the answer to getting a decent return… then again, it may not be a financially smart bet.  Either way, grab a cold one and let’s grab a spot to take this race in.
