1st Lady Hilltopper Black N Gold Stable Velazquez J R

Well, this was just one of the great finishes here at HRP and it was super to see Lady Hilltopper come out on top and beat her arch nemesis in Painville. Nothing can be taken away from the runner up who has had this mare behind her in their last two meetings but just couldn’t repeat that today. This great mare was winning her 14th race today and looks as good if not better than ever meaning we can expect to see these two legendary mares go at it again, if not before, then in the BC in November. Ridden perfectly today she just shaded the photo finish in a race that may go down as one of the best of the HRP year.

2nd Painville Mo Mentum Farm Gallardo A A

Everyone wanted to see the showdown between these first two and what a race it was. It looked like this great champion had pushed into an unassailable lead at the mile, but this trip has found her out before and it did again today. She lost nothing in defeat and will be back for another memorable battle before the year is out. I, for one, cannot wait!

3rd Be Exceptional TwinTowersRacing Geroux F

On the speed as expected she battled on really well to be just a length behind at the post and third behind the best two mares in the game. A great effort, and I am sure she will get another chance at revenge before the year is out.

4th Bronze Mooka Party Mo Mentum Farm Ferrer J C

It was somewhat of a shock to see the odds monkeys send this one off at similar odds to Painville but for me at least, it was more of a shock to see her come off two allowance defeats to get so close to the first three. Clearly improving at a rate of knots, she will need watching in her next start
