With a spot in the BC F&M Sprint on the line, Lady Narloff needed almost every inch of the 7-furlongs to run down Dialing in the $250.000 G2 Princess Rooney at GP. Crossing the wire in 1:22.00, Lady Narloff enabled her trainer, TwinTowersRacing, to navigate her path to the BC in November knowing that his mare will be there as long as she stays in training. With the $150.000 winner’s share, Lady Narloff has now earned $852.800 in a career where she sports a record of 19-7-2-1.
Lady Narloff took up a stalking position several lengths off of Dialing as the former raced on the outside of the three-horse group in closest pursuit. As none of those three seemed very concerned that Dialing was loose-on-the-lead, Slckmoment Laga moved all the way from 5th to 2nd into a :22.85 opening quarter. Slckmoment Laga never really pressured Dialing though, and the leader was on a two-length lead when Lady Narloff began making a move as the leader posted a :45.83 half-mile split.
The eventual winner had to swing widest of all as they entered the lane, and she was still more than a length behind Dialing as that runner covered three-quarters in 1:09.44. Dialing ran her eyeballs out and held the lead until the last twenty yards as Lady Narloff finally wore her down and crossed the wire a neck in front. It was a blanket finish for the first three spots as Kreepy Chill was just a nose behind Dialing with Slckmoment Laga another length back in 4th. Completing the order of finish were Juilliard and Lucky Insist.
Congratulations to Lady Narloff and TwinTowersRacing on their G2 Princess Rooney victory and good luck to them as they go forward en route to the BC F&M Sprint!
