TC of America – Grade 2 – $350.000
KEE – Dirt – 6 Furlongs
For Fillies and Mares Three Years Old and Upward
October 7, 2023
If there was ever any doubt where Lady Sammyantha would be the first weekend in November, that question was answered on Saturday in the TC of America. Of course, we won’t know for sure until the big day, but it would be a big surprise not to see her there after her thrilling performance on Saturday. She beat Adrift At Sea by a neck in a dramatic dash for the wire, both of them coming from well off the pace
Complete Order of Finish
1 Lady Sammyantha (The Sidley Stud) Came from off the pace to win by a neck.
2 Adrift At Sea (Threshold) Came from off the pace to finish second by a neck.
3 Bay The Lady (Mb Stables) Stalked the pace, led briefly, but couldn’t keep up with the winner.
4 Adolph Sniffer (TwinTowersRacing) Came from last to take fourth by a length.
5 Flyingbolt (Mo Mentum Farm) Came from off the pace to finish fifth.
6 Parade Leader (Fractious) Stalked the pace throughout, outrun at the end.
7 Mo Temptation (D J C Racing Stables) Last most of the way, got up for seventh.
8 Antares Mission (Mo Mentum Farm) Even mid-pack trip to finish eighth.
9 Fantasy Allure (Allinthegate) Led early but could not hold on and finished ninth.
10 Failure To Launch (Wood Duck Stables), 11 Not A Big Deal (Mb Stables, 12 Cold Storage (Rock Creek)
Lady Sammyantha is by Ginger Haggis out of the Condottieri mare, Madame Broulard and was bred in ON by the owner. The win, her tenth in thirty-six starts, brings the five-year-old mare’s career earnings to $1,440.640 and secures her a spot in the BC Fillies and Mares Sprint. Congratulations to The Sidley Stud and Lady Sammyantha!
