4 SA Las Flores Stakes (GIII)
$100.000 4yo&Up F&M 6f Dirt 123lbs +penalties
Last Lady kept her hot hand going as the Lindeman Prairie trained filly sat just behind the early pace, moved up to take over when asked and went under the wire clear by a length or more, taking the Las Flores Stakes (GIII) as expected. She covered the six panels in 1:09.10 at nearly 7/2 odds. Free Farley Party did all of the heavy lifting, setting the pace to the lane but was a clear second, with Malagan Girl third and Story To Tell taking the minor money.
Last Lady is a 4yo bay filly by Britslastbutnotleast – Lady Hittite by Slayer Of Kings, and she was bred in Pa by Lemax Farms. She was claimed by her current owner for a mere $8.000 on the day she broke her maiden, and it’s been a very smart claim as she now shows six wins from thirteen starts and earnings of $447.120. Congrats to the connections!

Last Lady tracked the pace from the rail, moved up quickly on the inside of the leader into the lane, kicked clear, kept to task. Free Farley Party sent from the gate, led to the top of the lane, headed, second best. Malagan Girl rated back 3p, move to 5p for the drive, evenly late. Story To Tell tracked the pace to the top of the lane, flattened out. Canary For One was no factor. Sin City Fool trailed.
