While we did not pick Stellar Agent in the preview, we cannot feel bad because there were not many people who picked her in the pick ‘em, either. With just 3.8% of those participating choosing her among the five available options, she would go off as the longest shot on the board even with the morning line actually liking her. Up to this point, she really had not stepped it up in stakes races, but that has now changed. She is trained by Night Rider Stables and was ridden by F Lynch. Each of them are first time Gallorette winners. Congratulations to them! The winning time was 1:40.28. Let’s take a look!

(1/4 Mile- :23.62)- The race is led early by Arindel’s Emo Storm, holding a length and a half lead over two stalkers. Hollywood Tours, our three year old from Threshold, holds the rail in the second position, and within a length of her, Maxmillion Farm’s Shes One Of A Kind is third. Go back another length or so, and you will find the two runners from Night Rider Stables, with the eventual winner, Stellar Agent being a neck in front of Pure Motor.

(½ Mile- :47.07)- Around the turn, and into the backstretch, Emo Storm is the race leader still, and she adds a little bit to her advantage, now being up by two lengths on Hollywood Tours. That one is content to continue to stay on the rail and wait for her time to strike. Shes One A Kind lost a little bit of ground to her, and is a full length behind Hollywood Tours. Running together, the two Night Rider horses watch it all unfold in front of them, with now Pure Motor being the one to have an advantage of about half a length.

(Top Of Stretch, 1.7F To Go)- For the rest of the backstretch, there would not be much change in the action, but within the turn, the excitement would pick up. Emo Storm remained up front, but Hollywood Tours began getting closer, and was now within a length and had a clear lane in front of her to use for the stretch. Shes One Of A Kind would maintain her position. Meanwhile, Stellar Agent simply exploded in the second half of the turn, making up significant ground but still needed to have a game plan on how she would get around Hollywood Tours, who was holding the inside lane. Pure Motor took the outside route, and was not out of it.

(Finish- 1:40.28)- In the stretch, Emo Storm looked to hold on the lead, and was battling as hard as she could. Hollywood Tours would make F Lynch’s decision very easy on what to do with Stellar Agent, as the Threshold filly moved down a lane when there was probably no reason too. Now, Stellar Agent did not have to alter her path at all and was able to remain in full stride all the way to the wire. Staying with it, she would leave her competition behind as she wins the race by a length. Hollywood Tours takes second over Shes One Of A Kind. Emo Storm tired to fourth, beating only Pure Motor.

About The Winner- Stellar Agent, trained by Night Rider Stables and ridden to victory by F Lynch, is a four year old filly by Manhunt and is out of the late Lovely Rose. She was bred in California as a yearling by Fractious, and was picked up by Night Rider Stables with a $20.000 claim in January 2021. Congratulations to the connections! The win is her third in 15 starts and first stake win. Her career earnings are now $204.160.
