6 SA Palos Verdes Stakes (GIII)
$100.000 4yo&Up 6f Dirt 123lbs
Make it three in a row, and The Green Card saw it, the whole time… Lennon, owned by Arindel, has been using his speed to just run Alw fields into the ground. Now, add a graded stakes to that philosophy as the 5yo gelding lasted by a quarter length, making every call a winning one and taking the Palos Verdes Stakes (GIII) on Saturday afternoon. The final running time was 1:08.62 for the six panels. Retaliate battled late down the inside, and was gaining, but just couldn’t get there, taking the second spot by a length over 21/1 shot Be Lucky in third, just a head in front of another long odds horses, Fionas Miracle (25/1) taking the minor money. Five lengths covered the field of eleven.
