1st Mamas Fallen Angel Luz International Cabrera D

It was a huge day for the trainer today as they took 4 of the 5 stakes races carded today and pretty much confirmed themselves as the top Texas breeder. This filly trailed early but was never too far away and went to the lead readily before being made to fight for the win. Now two from two, she looks a progressive sort who will continue to be a force in the State-Breds.

2nd Princess Meghan Blue Ridge Racing Eramia R E

Lost her unbeaten record but lost nothing in defeat with a brave second. Going back with the eventual winner she had the rail which looked like it may be the winning trip, but the Godsend quickly turned into a horror show. Even with just five runners the filly found traffic problems and by the time she got off the rail and found a gap the winner had flown. She rallied really well but the winner fought well and, in the end, whilst she was second, I think we can say she was an unlucky loser.

3rd Newry Campaign T Boy Racing Landeros C

Stalked the lead but when the whips came out, she was clearly third best.

4th All We Are Luz International Alvarez J L

A bit disappointing in the end, she held a good position into the final quarter but fell away pretty tamely.
