KEE is known for the upsets and KABOOOM!!!  We had a BIG one in Friday’s Jessamine (GII) as Luz International lit the tote board with Your Demise… sent off as the longest shot on the board (65/1), the bay filly showed a love for the grass, closing light a freight train to get up late and score by a quarter length.  The final running time was 1:403 for the mile and a sixteenth, and the turf was listed as Firm.  Diamond Pearls pressed the pace, took over in the lane but couldn’t hold off the eventual winner, securing the place by three quarters of a length over Coping Mechanism.  It was a neck back to a DH for fourth between Fay and Be Exceptional.  Only six lengths covered the field in this one.

Your Demise is a 2yo bay filly by Candlestick – Looks That Kill, by Face Your Fear, and she was bred by her owner, Luz International, in Tex.  This was her fourth win from six starts, and she now shows earnings of $396.800.  Congrats to the Connections

Your Demise rated off of the pace racing 3p, lacked racing room into the lane, found a seam, closed well 3p to get up in the last 150-yards, won driving.  Diamond Pearls tracked the pace 3p, continued to race 3p taking the lead into the far turn, drifted out to 5p for the run down the lane, caught in the final 150-yards, game try.  Coping Mechanism raced mid-pack 2p, continued 2p into the lane lacking room at the top of the stretch, split horses just inside the furlong marker, in a good effort.  Fay saved ground to the far turn, moved to 3p for the late run, no excuse, DH.  Be Exceptional  tracked the pace 2p, no excuse, DH.  Sinister City gave an even effort.  Dress Warrior well off of the early pace, passed tiring rivals late.  Lwaxana was not a factor.  Copper Jewels wide trip, tired.  Forever Sweet sent from the gate, set the pace to the far turn, tired.  Queen Rumble was not a factor.
