1st Comes The Dream, trained by M.b.o Racing Stable
With little more than four lengths covering the field, this was always going to be a battle of inches, but this consistent gelding was the one who today got the run and won by just under a length. Never far off the average pace, he battled on bravely to finally get a much deserved black type win. Carrying 7 lbs more than his last run, he actually ran quicker today, calling into question the pace of the race which was much slower in the early sectionals and much closer to the race before where he won an allowance comfortably. So the pace of the race won the day and given similar splits, he could easily do it again.

2nd Not My Idea, trained by D J C Racing Stable
On the speed off an average pace, front runners rarely win and the writing was on the wall as they entered the straight. He kept on well enough to hold second and has now managed a cheque in his last five efforts at black type.

3rd Half A Crown, trained by Spankys Barn
Took on the leader for much of the race eventually just whacking away at the one pace for third. This was another decent effort on turf and a small black type race shouldnt be far away.

4th Playmaker, trained by RNP Stables
Too far off an average pace to make any ground at the end, he kept on for fourth, but never troubled the top three.
