I had a feeling that this filly could pick them off from this draw today and sure enough when push came to shove she was the strongest by a head. This is a live BC hope on this performance as long as she gets a decent draw but i guess that goes for a lot if not all of the runners in the November Championship. This was her day though as she took her second grade one.

The five year old stalked the pace and very nearly gutted it out for the win but was just run down in the end. A real consistent sort she was very game today. We have seen the usual switch recently as the older horses start to beat the three’s again, it happens at the same time every year so is more likely to do with programming than the one or two pounds relief that the older horses get. Will she go on to the BC? Well if she does she is sure to give her best.

The first three year old home this is her second placing at grade one level and she must get a graded stakes win soon. She stuck on well today from the stalk and was ridden with just enough restraint compared to her last two starts to have enough left to raise a fight at the end,

Ran much better back on a sound surface she wont get into the BC but there is plenty of time for this improving filly.

Last time this horse made all the running and today she came from way back to share fourth which just goes to show what you can do with a click of the mouse. It was a good effort and she was only beaten a length.

A three way dead heat for 4th and four lengths covering the field, sometimes i wonder if rabbit racing is more fun. Mb sent most of their horses forward today and this filly was right on the speed until weakening late.
