1 1/8 Mile Turf Stake Purse $300.000 Filly 3 Year Olds.

1st   Maggie Greene  The Sidley Stud  Husbands P

Well the rains once more came to SAR and it was down to who acted on the surface and who didnt once again. This filly showed some improvement last time out and continued that progress to be a fairly comfortable winner of this grade two and put herself into the BC picture. Steadied back in the early stages she picked the leaders up pretty easily and ran out a clear cut two length winner. This form was right back to her best two year old form and if good old global warming keeps the rain falling for the BC then this one could be right in it.

2nd   Conkerberry  Aer Stables  Esquivel E

Made the lead a furlong out but it always looked to be on borrowed time and she was out finished in the end. This was another good effort and whilst she doesnt look like a superstar i am sure some black type wins will be on the radar.

3rd   Snakie Groupie  Maxmillion Farm  Albarado R J

She was taken a mile back from her widish draw and finished well enough to be third but never looked like matching the winner. This was her fourth placing at grade two level and it must be just a matter of time before she picks one up.

4th   Crown Of Light  Mb Stables  Colon L H

The top four were a mile clear of the rest with this one closing well enough for a never dangerous fourth. The BC Juvenile Turf runner up is clearly not as good as she was but this wasnt a bad effort and i would think a return to the winners enclosure wouldnt be far away.
