The second stakes of the day and Maletto makes a payday out of a Monday… Chrystal Cave makes every call a winning one and take the Power By Far Stakes by three-quarters of a length over her stable-mate, stopping the clock at :56.71 for the five furlongs over a Firm PRX turf course. That’s back-to-back wins and her tenth lifetime Kodak moment. Always Condottieri, one of my all-time favs, was second in a race that is obviously not her favorite distance, but still has the class to take down the place by a neck over Face The Music, with Rowdy Spirit another half-length back for the minor spot. Three lengths covered the field of five.
