1 Diligence Owner: Canadian Racing Gomez E P
She debuted at FE in September going five furlongs against Maidens where she finished second by a half length. She shipped south to FL where she faced New York Breds against Maiden Special Weights for a purse of $23.000 where she stalked the pace in second. In the final furlong she rallied to get up for the win by a quarter length. This is her first race of the year, and she is stretching out for the first time. This could be a challenge for her to get the distance.
2 My Lady Owner: Calia Stable Ortiz I Jr
She debuted here in November against New York Breds against Maidens at six furlongs where she finished fifth by eight lengths. Then in December she tried open Maidens on the Inner Dirt Course going six furlongs and she won by a half length. She is taking a step up here, but looking for her next win.
3 Risk Taker Owner: D J C Racing Stables Bisono J
She has the most experience in this field when it comes to Graded Stakes company. She broke her Maiden at second asking at FL against Maiden Special Weight NY Breds. From there she shipped to ELP where she faced Allowance Non Winners of 1 race. Since she has hit the Stakes Company, whether it be Non Graded or Graded Stakes she has not hit the board since. In her last race she stepped up to stretch out, and came up short to be fourth. Tough call here.
4 Distant Waters Owner: Mb Stables Arroyo A S
Just broke her Maiden after five attempts against NY Breds in an Allowance for Non Winners of 1 race. From there she raced here at today’s distance in December where she had the lead and then gave way to be third by two lengths. I do like all her races have been at a mile or longer. Could be in the top three.
5 Love Me Two Times Owner: Night Mare Racing Ortiz J L
It has taken her four races against NY Breds Maiden to get the Maiden broke. She broke the Maiden at today’s distance going on the Inner Dirt Course. I think this is a viable option for her for her next race. She seems to like the longer distance, so she could shock the field here.
6 Square And Cool Owner: On The Map Racing Alvarado J
She broke her Maiden at second asking at SAR going 5 ½ furlongs over the sod. From there she shipped down to CRC to race against Allowance Non Winners of 1 race going five furlongs on the sod to finish in a dead heat for the win. Her next race she finished second in a $50.000 Claimer at CD. She was claimed and then her next start was 7.5 furlongs on the sod at FG in an Allowance Non Winners of 2 races where she won by two lengths. She is now going to switch back to the dirt course, which could prove interesting on how she will handle the dirt course.
