Three Year Olds

1st Wild Fame, trained by Mb Stables

Broke on top and went straight to the front. Was caught a bit wide around the first turn but made his way to the rail on the backstretch. Set a comfortable uncontested pace through the first 6 furlongs. Opened up a 3-length lead by the time they entered the stretch and coasted to an easy victory.

2nd Chipotle, trained by Mb Stables

Raced in 3rd three lengths off the pace through the first 6 furlongs. Angled out for a clear run as they entered the stretch. Never threatened his stablemate for the win but easily prevailed for the place.

3rd Tyreese, trained by Threshold

Dropped back to save ground on the turn. Raced 5 lengths from the lead down the backstretch and around the turn. Started his move as they entered the stretch and encountered a bit of traffic. Found some room and closed nicely for the show.

4th Sacred Sacrifice, trained by Fractious

Dropped all the way to last 8 lengths from the lead. Started to pick off rivals as they entered the stretch but left himself too much to do and was only able to pick up a minor award.

Summary

Well the strategy discussed in the preview was executed to perfection much to the chagrin of many on the site. Let me start by saying I do not think it affected the result in any way as the top two finishers were much the best. However, what does it say about the importance of jockeys when the best trainer on the site feels the need to forfeit an entry fee to assure he secures a certain jockey? Most players on the site do not have the luxury of employing such tactics and thus that is why they sometimes feel it is not a level playing field.
