1st Love In The Mist, trained by Mb Stables
Despite winning three out of her last 4 races on the dirt she switched back to turf to win this race by a game half length. This game truly has very little definition between surfaces so it was no surprise she was good enough here off bottom weight. Proving that older horses CAN beat three year olds with the weight allowance taken away and average horses can beat superstars if they get enough weight. This was once again a gamers result with the trainer with the best understanding of the how to play a computer game coming out on top.

2nd Skeleton Spy, trained by Estero Farms
Dug deep and tried her heart out but just didnt have the finish left in her legs at the end. A good second and probably as good a finishing position as she couldve expected.

3rd Tropics, trained by Smokey Stover
An odds on favourite and grade one winner she ran on well from behind but as usual the crazy effect weight has at HRP was enough to stop her winning. A good effort considering the draw and the weight.

4th Nebraska Aq, trained by Hawaiian Shirt Guy
Went to the front and was game to the line but as usual with front runners at HRP she weakened at the end.

SUMMARY
This was a good opportunity for older horses with the three’s at the wrong end of the weight and the older horses proved all they needed was a fair shake to put them in their place.
