7 Furlongs Dirt Stake Purse $200.000 Open 3 Year Olds.

1st The Right Stuff, trained by Mb Stables
Like so many in this stable he went from maiden to stakes winner in one leap with a game quarter length win. Mtaching the time of that maiden win i am wondering whether he will be given a chance at KYD qualification as he beat a fairly decent field here and certainly wasnt stopping at the end.

2nd Sir Plucky Monkey, trained by Blushing Meadows
He was outbattled in the end but is clearly back to his best and looks like he will build into a decent sprinter this year.

3rd Rough Ryder, trained by Kopites
The roughie in the race he looked like he may hold on after racing in the stalk for the first half of the race but the effort told in the end and he went down by a half length. This was a better effort than his odds suggested although he did have the fitness edge and still couldnt out do the first two.

4th Road To Glory, trained by Simmer Down Stable
Ran on well at the end and although like Rough Ryder he had a fitness edge he looked as though he may be ready for a mile or further.
