Seeing Mb Stables win a graded stakes certainly isn’t news worthy… the barn wins them at a regular clip. At nearly 25/1… now that’s news! Aggravation stayed close to the pace, which is certainly his style, then got to the front turning for home, taking the Wise Dan (GII) by a length in a final time of 1:39.26 for the mile and a sixteenth over the firm CD turf. Only a 3yo, you’d have to think that this horse will be a monster through the summer. Stormy Passing rallied from well off the pace to grab the second spot as the 5/2 post time favorite. The lightly raced Two Brushes ran another bang-up race to be third as the 3yo continues to get close v. older horses.
Aggravation is a 3yo bay colt by Commanding – Pumpkin Spice Latte, by Chai Latte, and was bred in California by his owner, Mb Stables. This was his fifth win from seven starts, four of those wins coming this season, and he now shows $220.530 in earnings. The turf monsters had best be on the lookout for this one… he looks like he could be a big big horse.

Aggrivation broke alertly, chased the pace, took over at the top of the lane and held sway to win driving. Stormy Passing in hand early, lost ground down the backside, responded when asked, all out for the place. Two Brushes lacked early speed, in hand, urged into the lane, good closing effort. General White evenly throughout. Party Prep off a step slow, up quickly to dispute the pace, contended into the lane then tired in the late stages. Turon Warrior in hand, no threat. Owen Wolff away well, disputed the pace, tired. El Gran Black was not a factor. Sinai Desert outrun. Bad Mouth sent from the outside, set the pace for six furlongs, folded.
